In it for the Money
The first-year MAA design students got together to showcase our work at the 1612 Gallery. I put in my collaborative piece with Amanda Leppi Save waters, Save whales. This piece was selected as one of 108 shortlisted entries out of over 2,000 participants for designboom.com‘s Endangered Species Competition. View project in archive.
“Each day our waters are becoming more polluted, there are large garbage patches floating in the oceans and marine life are found decaying around piles of discarded plastics. There is a significantly higher ratio of plastic particles in the ocean to plankton. This is a campaign to reduce our dependence on plastics and make a visual reference to where our discarded materials are really ending up.”
