Motivation

As I process themes of behavior change and shaping society through design thinking, I feel like I am being drawn back into corporate culture as the place with the highest potential for impact. Pondering the implications of that direction, this illustrated talk about incentives and satisfaction by Dan Pink feels quite relevant. His presentation unpacks workplace satisfaction from monetary motivations to the presence of autonomy, purpose and mastery.

"If we start treating people like people and not assuming they are simply horses….we can actually build organizations and work lives that make us better off, but I also think they have the promise to make our world just a little bit better."
