The research problem refined and dissected into sub-problems.
I developed a strategic plan for how to use design thinking to answer these questions that includes six phases. In the plan, each phase is represented on a corresponding timeline of study. Developing these methods of data gathering and analysis, I get a sense of the overall methodological framework to see how the parts fit together and ensure the validity of the study.
Reflecting on the first semester of study, I recognize that my direction fell into three distinct stages. Each can be categorized by the following keywords. Placing them side-by-side, you see the progression of thought and the correlation of ideas into the main thesis problem.
Each of these keywords is influenced through reading. The following chart visualizes areas I need further literature research. It pairs keywords with literature sources, distinguishing peer reviewed and non peer reviewed sources to help me identify where study is needed.
The act of preparing the plan provided a platform for clarifying ideas, delimiting, identifying assumptions and planning a course for the rest of the masters program.
